Organisations

Every foosball group in Foosball Leaderboard lives inside an organisation. Your leaderboard, matches, players, and settings are all scoped to one organisation, so different groups never see each other's data.

Creating an organisation

You create your first organisation during onboarding. After that, you can create additional organisations from the group switcher in the top navigation — useful if you manage multiple leagues (e.g., one for work and one for a home game).

When creating an organisation you set:

  • Name — displayed throughout the app and in your group's URL slug
  • Game mode1v1 or 2v2, permanent after creation

Roles

Every member of an organisation has one of two roles:

| Role | Capabilities | |---|---| | Owner | Full access: manage members, change settings, manage subscription, delete the organisation | | Member | Record matches, view all stats, use all enabled features |

The person who creates an organisation is automatically its owner. Ownership cannot currently be transferred.

Inviting members

Go to Settings → Members and copy the invite link. Share it via Slack, email, or a group chat. Anyone who opens the link is prompted to sign up (or log in) and is then added to your organisation as a member.

Invite links expire after 7 days. You can generate a new one from the same settings page at any time.

Placeholder players

If a teammate hasn't signed up yet, you can create a placeholder player — a named entry in your leaderboard with no associated account. You can record matches with them right away. When they eventually join via an invite link, their account is linked to the placeholder and all historical results carry over.

Switching between organisations

If you belong to more than one organisation, use the group switcher in the navigation header to move between them. Each switch updates your active group for the current browser session.

Leaving an organisation

Members can leave an organisation from Settings → Members → Leave. If you are the sole owner, you must either delete the organisation or transfer ownership first.
