Looking for Players

This is a Pro feature. Upgrade your group to access Looking for Players.

Looking for Players (LFP) solves the classic problem: you want to play, but you don't know who else is free right now. LFP lets you broadcast availability to your group so others can respond and a match gets organised.

How it works

  1. Post a beacon — tap the Find Players button (in the quick-actions menu or the LFP page) and post a beacon saying how many players you're looking for
  2. Teammates see it — other group members see the beacon in real time on the LFP page and in push notifications (if enabled)
  3. They respond — interested players tap I'm in to accept, or Can't play to decline
  4. Play the match — once you have enough players, head to the table and start a match

Posting a beacon

When you post a beacon:

  • Players needed — how many more people you need (e.g., "1 more for 2v2")
  • Target all — whether to notify everyone or just specific members

The beacon is visible to everyone in your group with the app open.

Responding to a beacon

When someone else posts a beacon, you'll see it on the LFP page. If you have push notifications enabled, you'll get an alert. Tap I'm in if you can play or Can't play if you're busy.

The beacon creator sees responses in real time.

Beacon status

A beacon has three states:

| Status | Meaning | |---|---| | Active | Waiting for enough responses | | Fulfilled | Enough players have accepted | | Expired | The window closed with no action |

Privacy

Beacons are only visible within your group — no one outside your organisation can see them.

Notifications

LFP works best with push notifications enabled. When someone posts a beacon, the entire group gets a push notification so no one misses the call to play.
