Betting

The Betting system lets group members predict the outcome of live matches and win coins if their prediction is correct. It adds spectator engagement to matches — even players sitting on the sideline have something at stake.

How it works

When a live match starts, a betting market opens automatically. Group members who aren't playing can place a bet on which team they think will win. Once the match ends and a winner is determined, the market settles and winning bettors receive their payout.

Placing a bet

1. When a live match is in progress, go to the Live Match page
2. You'll see the open betting market with odds for each team
3. Choose a team and enter your stake (the number of coins you want to wager)
4. Confirm your bet

Your stake is deducted from your wallet immediately.

Odds

Odds are calculated from the ratings, recent form, and attack/defense efficiency of the two teams — a heavy favourite has lower odds (smaller payout multiplier) while an underdog has higher odds.

Odds are live: they update after every goal to reflect the current score, so a team that falls behind pays out more and a team that pulls ahead pays out less. Each bet locks in the odds at the moment it is placed.

All prices include a small bookmaker margin. This keeps the market fair for everyone — no score or situation ever offers a bet that is profitable on average, so patient "sure thing" betting can't be used to farm coins.

Suspended markets

When one team becomes an overwhelming favourite (better than a 90% chance to win — for example when leading 8-1), betting is temporarily suspended. Near-certain outcomes can't be priced fairly, so instead of offering broken odds the market pauses. If the trailing team fights back and the outcome becomes competitive again, betting reopens automatically with fresh odds. A close endgame — even 9-9 — stays open.

Settling bets

When the match ends and the result is recorded, all open bets are settled:

• Winning bets — your stake is returned plus winnings (stake × odds)
• Losing bets — your stake is forfeited

Payouts are credited to your Wallet immediately after settlement.

Market status

A market has four possible states:

Coins and wallet

All bets use the in-app coin currency from your Wallet. Coins have no real-world monetary value — they're purely for fun and bragging rights. You earn coins by winning matches, completing Missions, and winning bets.

Betting on your own match

Players who are participating in an active match cannot bet on it. You can only bet on matches you're not playing in.
